Carpet Design Awards 2023: Best Interior

During Domotex Hannover 2023, the trade show that aims to highlight innovations and trends within the rug industry, the annual Carpet Design Awards happened in person for the first time since the beginning of the Pandemic. We are really honored to have received the award for Best Interior for the Emily Forgot Construct Collection, a three-part modular rug.

We worked with interior stylist Hannah Franklin to come up with the concept of the interior and shot the setting in the Beton Brut gallery space with photographer Felix Speller. The bold shapes within the rugs are echoed in the choices of furnishing such as the lights and paintings by Jamie Brown, which cements the overarching modernist style. The imagery plays with light and dark settings, showing how the rugs would appear throughout the day and how the lighting highlights the alternating pile heights within the shaped rug.
