Diane Bresson

DIANE’S LAYERED & GEOMETRIC RUG COLLECTION IS INSPIRED BY HER PRACTICE AS A PRINTMAKER.

The tactility of Diane’s paper screen printing reveals layers of lines, dots and hand-cut stencils. To encompass these textures Diane designed rugs in three different constructions, exploring the similarities and differences between the printing and weaving processes.

Diane’s style is very much reflected in her compositional designs where the scale of shapes are meticulously thought out and combined with tonal and acidic hues to give that contemporary edge. Her designs have been seen as part of retail installations as large scale wall coverings as well as being translated into digital animations, projected within spaces for people to interact with. Our rug collaboration sees Diane’s work mould into the form of rug-making, and works to totally transform interior spaces through shape, colour and texture.

Cut Out

This stylish, compositional piece has a deeply ingrained sentiment of craftsmanship through the design development of screen printing then translated into hand woven techniques.
