The interior and product design duo Jordan Cluroe and Russel Whitehead known as 2 Lovely Gays translate their uplifting palettes and playful forms into rug designs.

The pair’s adaptable and personal approach to design allows them to respond uniquely to the individual needs of each project, where they combine form, function and decorative joy in equal measure. Coming from a theatre background, collaboration has always been key to 2LGs work and has naturally progressed into the duo’s design ethic.

FLOOR_STORY founder Simon Goff first met the formidable 2LG at London Design Festival 2015 and immediately became struck by the pair’s unmistakable style and enthusiasm for design. A year later, the 2LG x FLOOR_STORY capsule collection was released in three stunning designs full of mottled colour effects and playful wiggly and pill shaped outlines. Alongside their core collection, customisations of colourways are frequently made to fit specific spaces such as the colourful and contemporary Sunderland Road.

2LG Studio Louisville Road Project

The latest project project from 2LG studio took place in Tooting where they decorated a family house. They featured three FLOOR_STORY rugs, included Roses from their previous collection with us, that was inspired by vintage wallpaper discovered during the restoration of their Victorian home.
