Lost in Colour
South east London's Now Gallery has been transformed by the fab Camille Walala, with her installation of a maze that invites you to get lost in colour. We simply had to pay a visit.
There is no mistaking Camille's bold use of pattern and colour and her vivid designs have been seen on the front of buildings, pedestrian crossings and, of course, her rugs for FLOOR_STORY. For her latest project, Camille has created Walala x Play, occupying the main exhibition area of south east London's Now Gallery, located in the Greenwich Peninsula development.
We popped along on the opening night to amaze at the maze and were treated to walls and floors covered in geometric patterns and some cunningly placed mirrors coming together to create a mystifying labyrinth of colour. Zigzag paths, passageways and enclosed spaces; it's easy to get completely absorbed and you certainly get lost in colour and pattern, though fortunately we made it out the other side!
The installation is well worth a visit and the maze will be changing throughout it's residence, which runs until 24 September 2017. You can find Walala x Play at the Now Gallery until then.
