Freedom Bookshop
'Free your mind at London's oldest and largest anarchist bookshop, Freedom Bookshop on Whitechapel High Street, E1. They stock 1000s of books + zines, and host a variety of events on Friday evenings.
Check out the book "A Beautiful Idea" by Rob Ray for an in depth history of their book publishing arm Freedom Press, which dates back to 1886, making it the oldest anarchist publishing house in the English speaking world!'
Andrew, Logistics Manager.
Get Baked
'Get Baked is a bakery in Leeds that specialise in the chocolate Bruce cake, puddings, pies and cookies. The great thing about this bakery, other than the delicious baked goods, is the two weekly delivery drops where you can order from across the UK. They pack them up and send them off the day after they've come out the oven, each order I've placed has arrived in perfect condition.I highly recommend the Birthday Pudding which can be eaten cold or heated up in the oven or microwave and comes with a little bag of extra sprinkles.'Gill, Designer
24 Hour Party People
'A cult classic, the origin story of Factory Records who represented Joy Division, New Order and Happy Mondays as well as beginning the legendary club nights at Hacienda in a documentary style starring Steve Coogan as Tony Wilson. Funny, dark and nostalgic.
It's now on Amazon Prime which is why I recently watched it.'
Bekah, Communications Manager.
Ida
'Ida is the best Italian restaurant in London, it's a family run restaurant in Queens Park and is housed in a charming grade 2 listed former corner shop. The pasta and gnocchi is all freshly prepared daily and their selection of home cooked regional dishes are second to none. Husband and wife combo avi and Simonetta are always on hand with friendly service and recommendations for first timers.
Try the Pappardelle al ragù marchigiano - it's to die for and reminds me of my grandmothers cooking.'
Carlo, Sales Manager.
Idles
'A band so cool and so relevant in these trying times; they remind you to scream songs at the top of your lungs and love each other dearly.
You can find tickets for their performances on the Twickets App which has availability for last minute tickets near you.'
Brish, Sales and E-commerce Coordinator
FANGIRLS at the Lyric Hammersmith
'Riotous, subversive and joyous. An exploration of the power of teenage girls and pop idols. Highly recommended to get tickets asap as it only runs until the 24th of August!'
