rug _story
A compositional flatwoven rug design which subverts screen printing techniques into weave
Screenprinter Diane Bresson has combined design elements from both the Halftones and Shift rugs to create a new flat weave design featuring irregular curves and lines to create a compositional rug with peach, purple and red tones. This stylish, compositional piece has a deeply ingrained sentiment of craftsmanship through the design development of screen printing then translated into hand woven techniques. This combination of techniques creates a rich textural underlay, a true beauty to behold in interior spaces.

Flat Weave
Often called hand woven or kilims, flatweave rugs are made using a loom-weaving process that creates a neat alignment of yarn. A great technique for reproducing geometric pattern and also makes a good choice if budget is tight.
