SS16 by Kangan Arora at designjunction

Kangan was the first designer to bring her unique style to the Designer Collection and so her new SS16 designs really do mean something special. As a true catalyst for the success of the FLOOR_STORY rug collection, we’re delighted to bring her new creations to designjunction.

These are quite different from what we've made with Kangan before, freer in use of colour andcertainly less constrained by the rigours of geometric designs. We reckon the results are pretty stunning and will certainly leave quite an impression, but you'll be able to decide for yourself as we'll be bringing them to Victoria House hot off the loom.

Of course, we'll also bring some of Kangan's other recent creations for FLOOR_STORY. Jali (Night and Day) and Lucknow (Night and Day)draw inspiration from the decorative lattice screen that adorns windows across India, shading rooms from the elements, and howthe colours cast by their shadow change as day turns to night. Along with these fab designs, we’ll be bringing the hugely successful Weft and Loha and the original Circus and Kites designs that kicked off the Designer Collection. It will be a fab chance to see how Kangan’s collaboration with FLOOR_STORY has evolved over the years.

Kangan’s new works will also join launches from brand new designers in A Rum Fellow, Darkroom, Sagarika Sundaram, Sunny Todd Prints, the former and latter a husband and wife team that are taking the textile market by storm.designjunction runs from Thursday 24 - Sunday 27 September and you’ll find FLOOR_STORY as part of the shopping space at Victoria House, WC1.
